Hallyu Star Bae Yong Joon was heavily injured while filming "The Legend" and has been diagnosed to receive surgery.

Bae Yong Joon's agency BOF commented on the 16th, "Bae Yong Joon hurt his neck bone and shoulder ligaments while filming earlier this month on the Jeju Island set. Because of the tight filming and broadcast schedule, he is currently still participating in the shoots relying on painkillers."

According to BOF, the hospital diagnosed Bae Yong Joon with a ruptured cervical disk and strained shoulder ligaments. The hospital strongly recommends a detailed diagnosis and surgery.

The accident happened while filming an action scene of episode 17. An actor on wires fell on the neck of Bae Yong Joon causing the accident.

Bae Yong Joon continued filming until the pain made it difficult to turn his head. He visited a hospital soon after but returned with painkillers and bandages to continue filming due to the tight schedule.

BOF says, "Bae Yong Joon's injury is currently making it even difficult to hold a sword on set. But because the drama shoot schedule is in its final few days, he is planning on being treated afterwards."

Bae Yong Joon also encountered a finger injury late last month. He is currently playing the role of King Gwanggaeto in the drama series "The Legend" which will air its last episode on December 5th.

MBC TV drama series 'The Legend' will be created into a Japanese manga (graphic novel).

At a press conference held on the 14th, manga artist Ikeda Riyoko, also famous for 'Rose of Versailles,' announced she will be creating a manga version of 'The Legend' starring Hallyu star Bae Yong Joon.

The manga version of 'The Legend' will be featured in 'Tokyo Isshukan' and 'Kansai Isshukan' starting on the 25th.

Ikeda Riyoko comments, "There have been reviews saying the nose and chin lines I draw is similar to Bae Yong Joon. My friends that are fans of Bae Yong Joon told me that if I reject the offer, someone else is going to draw him anyways so to accept the offer."

Bae Yong Joon delivered a message regarding the news, "It is an honor that Ms. Ikeda is going to draw the manga version. I am looking forward to it," expressing his gratitude. by broasia

Show "Xiao Zhu" Luo had his concert last night at Taipei's Dome Arena. His performed with his elite dance skills, and danced the “3 second glue” dance with concert guest Karen Mok Wen Wei with very sexually suggesting dance moves, but elegantly executed. Actress Jeon Do-yeon has received the Best Actress Award at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year, has once again and received a Best Actress Award, this time at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards.

The Asia Pacific Screen Awards, which celebrates films from the Asia Pacific region, was held for the first time this year in Gold Coast, Australia.

Ceremony organizers said Jeon defeated other strong candidates and received the award for Best Actress following a unanimous vote by a panel of judges. They added that the award has solidified her status as one of the leading actresses in the Asia Pacific region.

Jeon, who did not attend the ceremony due to film shooting, said she was very happy to be the recipient of the award and thanked the judges. She promised to work harder to improve her skills as an actor and make more quality films in the future.

The Asia Pacific Screen Awards will be broadcast around the world, including North America and Europe, on November 17

Toilet themed restaurants are not something new in Taiwan; it has been around since 2004 (or earlier) with people dining in a toilet like environment and eating from a mini toilet bowl.

I always thought that the business idea won't last long; but with the recent exposure by foreign press and bloggers, it seems that these eateries are becoming a bizarre-food icon from Taiwan… something like eating fugu in Japan and live octopus in Korea.

The latest Samsung AnyCall commercial film, featuring AnyBand - a group of artists with different talents - pop star Kwon BoA, Xiah Jun-su (from boyband TVXQ), Tablo (from hip-hop group Epik High) and pianist prodigy Jin Bora…

AnyCall is famous for its commercial films; its previous series featuring pop star Lee Hyori (AnyMotion, AnyClub etc.) were simply classic. The CFs were very well received in Korea and spread around the world through various online video sharing site.

With Hyori's contract ending pretty soon… Samsung is trying to form a new hype with AnyBand. With pop stars BoA and Jun-su in backing, and the talent of Tablo and Bora… it's almost certain that the commercial will create a great buzz in the market by yeinjee

The Dear Cloud music video that Kim Jae Wook , aka Coffee Prince 's Waffle Sun Ki, had agreed to appear in for free (because the band members are his close friends) has come out, along with the band's first album. Watch the video below.

Leah Dizon 's career in Japan is steamrolling ahead. The 21-year-old American pin-up girl/singer performed her first solo concert last night at O-East in Shibuya, one of the most popular districts for Tokyo's youth. The 90-minute set included 16 songs, several sexy outfits and minimal chat, though her Japanese skills have noticeably improved over the last year. Cosplay is a big part of her act, and yesterday's concert ended with her wearing the yellow cap, pleated miniskirt and backpack of a typical Japanese elementary school student.

She only came to Japan for the first time in 2006 but already had a fan base here, largely from the cosplay photos she posted on her blog. 2006 saw the release of a best-selling photo book and Dizon's self-promotion included a home-made video of her singing an Amuro Namie hit. The whole thing went so smoothly that some started to ask whether she was really a Japanese after all. The half French-American, half Chinese-Filipina was born in Las Vegas and raised in Los Angeles. Arron's 22nd Birthday Bash

Yesterday, Arron and his fans celebrated his 22nd Birthday, Wuzun and Calvin also attended. Interestingly, with Arron's mother suprise appearance, the first thing she said on stage was "I get to meet WuZun, I'm so happy".

Nov 20th is Arron's 22nd Birthday but his fans celebrated it for him on the 16th. Wuzun, Calvin and Li Ang Lin came to present him his presents. Jiro who is busy with filming was unable to attend but had already gave Arron a big hug.

WuZun was the emcee for Arron's birthday bash, on stage, he teased Arron and wanted to allow the fans to kiss him. Fahrenheit gave Arron a pair of sunglasses as a birthday present as Arron loves to look handsome. Also, as Arron loves singing and everywhere he goes, he also sings, his company gave him a professional mic worth 80000taibi.

The suprise guests were Arron's mother and sister, when Arron's mother appeared, he was so happy that his eyes turned red. Suprisingly, when Arron's mother went on the stage, the first thing she said was "Firstly, i get to meet WuZun, I'm so happy" before continuing with " everytime WuZun comes to our house, i will always give him a hug."

Arron then followed, "Mum, dont say anymore, i'm afraid if you continue, you will not be able to leave this place." He also said that everytime at home when he's acting 'shuai' to the mirror, his mother would always say "Act cool also cannot be cooler than Wang Dong Cheng(Jiro)." Although Arron's mother always seem to be speaking good of other people, she also gave her son a huge red packet.

Celeb Suzanne Hsiao (蕭淑慎) is likely to be heading is a spell in the big house. Korea's very own figure skater, Kim Yu-na (17) (Korean name is 김연아) is the cover girl for the December 2007 issue of Figure Skating (U.S.). Girl is gorgeous -not to mention super talented. Kim Yu-na came in first at the recent ISU Grand Prix in Harbin, China.
