			<title><![CDATA[Taiwanese drama is booming in Korea.]]></title>

“Hanazakari no Kimitachihe” had the island’s highest ever audience rating in Taiwan.<br />
  Also Taiwanese drama is hitting up Korean fans. The popurity of the Taiwanese soap opera craze comes from online fan clubs. <br />
  The one dedicated to Jerry Yen, the star of “Meteor Garden,” has more than 30,000 registered fans.<br />
  The fan club of pop group Feilunhai also known as Fahrenheit is also enormous, and Feilunhai members Wu Chun and Jiro Wang play leading roles in “Hanazakari no Kimitachi he.” <br />
  It was reported that The number of active fans are more than 7000 korean. Fans are to translate articles about Taiwanese actors and try to see them in person. <br />
  Registered fans are exceeds 10,000.<br />

Korean distributor Prime Entertainment has sold remake rights to the new suspense thriller Seven Days to Hollywood company Summit Entertainment. <br />
The film, directed by WON Sin-yeon ("The Wig" ("Scary Hair"), "A Bloody Aria"), is about a successful defense attorney (played by well-known actress KIM Yoon-jin) whose daughter is kidnapped. In place of a ransom, the kidnappers demand that she prove the innocence of a man convicted of murdering a college student.<br />
The film was released in Korea on November 14. <br />
The remake, which is scheduled to start shooting in 2008, will be executive produced by Lee Seo-yeol and Sin Sang-han of Prime Entertainment, together with Vincent Maraval and Agnes Mentre of French sales company Wild Bunch. Worldwide rights to the remake excluding North America and Asia will also be handled by Wild Bunch.<br />
A South Korean thriller movie "Seven Days" will be remade for the U.S. market, the movie's South Korean distributor Prime Entertainment said Tuesday. Summit Entertainment, a U.S. movie production company that has released hit movies in the past, has signed a deal with Prime Entertainment for the rights for "Seven Days." Seven Days is a crime suspense film, directed by Won Shin-yeon. It will be released in South Korea on Wednesday. The movie tells the story of a brilliant woman lawyer with a perfect winning record whose life takes a dramatic turn when her eight-year-old daughter is kidnapped. The abductor says the lawyer has seven days to win an impossible murder case, or she will never see her daughter again. Summit Entertainment plans to begin filming the remake next year on a &#36;30 million budget. <br />

     Hallyu Star Bae Yong Joon was heavily injured while filming "The Legend" and has been diagnosed to receive surgery. <br />

Bae Yong Joon's agency BOF commented on the 16th, "Bae Yong Joon hurt his neck bone and shoulder ligaments while filming earlier this month on the Jeju Island set. Because of the tight filming and broadcast schedule, he is currently still participating in the shoots relying on painkillers." <br />
<br />
According to BOF, the hospital diagnosed Bae Yong Joon with a ruptured cervical disk and strained shoulder ligaments. The hospital strongly recommends a detailed diagnosis and surgery. <br />
<br />
The accident happened while filming an action scene of episode 17. An actor on wires fell on the neck of Bae Yong Joon causing the accident. <br />
<br />
Bae Yong Joon continued filming until the pain made it difficult to turn his head. He visited a hospital soon after but returned with painkillers and bandages to continue filming due to the tight schedule. <br />
<br />
BOF says, "Bae Yong Joon's injury is currently making it even difficult to hold a sword on set. But because the drama shoot schedule is in its final few days, he is planning on being treated afterwards." <br />
<br />
Bae Yong Joon also encountered a finger injury late last month. He is currently playing the role of King Gwanggaeto in the drama series "The Legend" which will air its last episode on December 5th. <br />

The manga version of 'The Legend' will be featured in 'Tokyo Isshukan' and 'Kansai Isshukan' starting on the 25th. <br />

Ikeda Riyoko comments, "There have been reviews saying the nose and chin lines I draw is similar to Bae Yong Joon. My friends that are fans of Bae Yong Joon told me that if I reject the offer, someone else is going to draw him anyways so to accept the offer." <br />

     Show "Xiao Zhu" Luo  had his concert last night at Taipei's Dome Arena. His performed with his elite dance skills, and danced the “3 second glue” dance with concert guest Karen Mok Wen Wei with very sexually suggesting dance moves, but elegantly executed. In the middle of the concert, his hospitalized mother surprised him with a VCR greeting. Show was moved to tears—his sentiments seemed like they were riding on a roller coaster. <br />

      Show Luo  will be holding two of his “SHOW ON STAGE – Yi Zhi Du Xiu” concerts back to back in 2 days (11/17 & 11/18). For the opening, it was all visual effects that mesmerized the audience. When the lights were turned down, there was an uproar of applause and screams. Show appeared in a glow-in-the-dark military uniform and was dancing solo on the main stage. Then when the audience was completely captivated by that, he spend about 15 seconds and dashed down to the small stage up in front, and shot up from the stage there.     The Asia Pacific Screen Awards, which celebrates films from the Asia Pacific region, was held for the first time this year in Gold Coast, Australia. <br />
    Ceremony organizers said Jeon defeated other strong candidates and received the award for Best Actress following a unanimous vote by a panel of judges. They added that the award has solidified her status as one of the leading actresses in the Asia Pacific region. <br />
    Jeon, who did not attend the ceremony due to film shooting, said she was very happy to be the recipient of the award and thanked the judges. She promised to work harder to improve her skills as an actor and make more quality films in the future. <br />
    The Asia Pacific Screen Awards will be broadcast around the world, including North America and Europe, on November 17     <br />

    Toilet themed restaurants are not something new in Taiwan; it has been around since 2004 (or earlier) with people dining in a toilet like environment and eating from a mini toilet bowl.     <br />
    I always thought that the business idea won't last long; but with the recent exposure by foreign press and bloggers, it seems that these eateries are becoming a bizarre-food icon from Taiwan… something like eating fugu in Japan and live octopus in Korea. <br />
